 - GoSTEM DirectorGeorgia Tech established GoSTEM in 2011, with the generous support of The Goizueta Foundation, to help pave a path towards STEM higher education for K-12 Latinx students in Georgia. Over the next nine years, we developed programming with these students in mind. We engaged higher education, K-12 schools, local community organizations, and businesses in initiatives to inspire and prepare these students through exposure to STEM expertise and Latinx role models.

Now, entering the 2020’s, I am proud to see the impact our program has made on the students and their families and to witness how they have become empowered and inspired over the years. GoSTEM is essentially a family of people united by the belief that STEM education is important and relevant for all, regardless of their nation of origin or native language, and that educating the next generation of diverse STEM scientists and leaders is essential to achieving a better future for our country and the world.

Mis más sinceros saludos,
