  • REMEZCLA project provides affirming and motivating CS experiences for Latinx students

    The National Science Foundation-funded project expands Latinx student representation in computer science (CS) through a culturally relevant curriculum, based around EarSketch, a Tech-developed, web-based digital audio workstation. Since its inception, over 300 participants have attended simultaneous afterschool programs and summer camps at both partner universities.

  • GoSTEM students carry on legacy of academic and professional achievement

    For Georgia Tech undergraduates Jasmine Lopez-Sandoval and Alex Castrejon, their paths toward professional success in college and beyond began in middle school when they participated in the GoSTEM program, a collaborative partnership at Tech between the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing and the Center for Teaching and Learning originally and now with Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. GoSTEM promotes STEM academic achievement and college attendance among Latino students, connecting Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students directly to K-12 students and their teachers through innovative educational programs.

  • Georgia Tech’s Latino College and STEM Fair celebrates 10 years

    More than 200 students and their families attended the 10th Annual Latino College and STEM Fair (LCSF), a virtual bilingual event hosted in mid-March by the Georgia Institute of Technology’s GoSTEM program.

  • Special Event Focuses on Expanding Access to Post-Secondary Education to Latino Students

    The GoSTEM program at the Georgia Institute of Technology is hosting the 9th Annual Latino College and STEM Fair on March 17th and 18th, 2021. The virtual bilingual event includes nationally recognized keynote speakers, educational information sessions for middle and high school students, their parents, and the general public. Hands-on STEM workshops are available for schools and community organizations.
